VanEck Files For Solana ETF
VanEck has announced that it has filed an application to launch the first-ever SOL-based US ETF. Matthew Sigel, Head of Digital Assets at VanEck, claims that SOL could be considered a commodity, like BTC and ETH.

Coinbase Accuses SEC, FDIC of Conspiracy Against Crypto Industry
Coinbase has filed complaints against the SEC and FDIC for failing to comply with requests for information in closed crypto cases. The SEC has refused to provide documents, which Coinbase claims is in violation of its obligations.

UAE to ban crypto payments?
The United Arab Emirates could lose its status as a cryptocurrency haven as it considers banning non-dirham backed crypto payments.

Solana Launches Actions/Blinks To Simply On-Chain Transactions
Solana has unveiled a feature designed to seamlessly connect its blockchain to any website via a shareable link. They are called Solana Actions and blockchain links or "blinks," and enable any web page capable of displaying a URL to facilitate Solana transactions.

Blast Launches Airdrop
After a series of highly scrutinized airdrops from LayerZero, ZKsync, and Eigen Layer, Blast launches what twitter users are calling a surprisingly “quiet” airdrop.

Maker DAO Launches $1.3M Audit Contest
Maker DAO launches the largest ever Sherlock competition to audit what they are calling their Endgame Smart Contracts. The codebase is focused on overhauling their governance system by reorganizing it into subDAOs.

Stocks Rise As Core PCE Continues To Cool
The Fed’s preferred inflation gauge, Core PCE, rises at slowest pace since March 2021. Core PCE, 2.6% Vs. 2.6% Est. (prev. 2.8%).

🔥 Hot Takes: Polymarket Wins Presidential Debate

Last night's presidential debate between former President Donald Trump and current President Joe Biden was absolutely abysmal. Trump emerged as the clear victor, while Biden's inability to complete a coherent sentence turned the event into an embarrassment for America and The Office of the Presidency on the global stage.

Adding to last night's bizarre events, Robert Kennedy hosted "The Real Debate," live on X commentating over the actual debate (which CNN left him out of) and provided his own answers to the questions.

Despite the lackluster performances by the candidates, prediction markets emerged the true winners of the debate. Crypto project Polymarket especially benefitted, with bets on the Presidential Election Winner 2024 soaring to over $192 million. Additionally, millions were placed on prop bets, such as whether Biden would drop out of the race or if Trump would mention Bitcoin or crypto—which didn’t happen.
