Terra and Do Kwon reach $4.5 billion settlement with SEC
The SEC has announced that Terraform Labs and its former CEO Do Kwon have agreed to pay approximately $4.5 billion as part of a massive settlement. The company and Kwon, responsible for the $40 billion collapse of UST and LUNA in 2022, were found guilty of civil fraud by a Manhattan jury last month.

Curve and its founder in jeopardy?
Michael Egorov, founder of Curve, is at risk of having his on-chain loans liquidated after the CRV token dropped more than 25%. He holds $111.87 million of CRV as collateral for $20.6 million of debt on multiple DeFi platforms.

MetaMask launches ETH staking solution
MetaMask has launched the "MetaMask Pooled Staking" service, allowing all its users to participate in ether staking without needing the 32 ETH required to become a validator on Ethereum.

Lido announces retake functionality
Lido is seeing its dominance diminish in the face of Eigenlayer and the restaking trend. To counter this loss, Lido has launched "The Lido Alliance" and collaborated with Mellow Finance and Symbiotic to introduce DeFi restaking strategies.

Ripple Announces RLUSD
Brad Garlinghouse, CEO of Ripple, announced the launch of the RLUSD stablecoin at the XRPL Apex Summit in Amsterdam. RLUSD will be available on the XRP Ledger and Ethereum.

MoonPay Allows Crypto Purchases via PayPal
MoonPay integrates PayPal as a crypto purchase option for EU and UK users. This feature will be rolled out gradually, with the exception of Croatia, Iceland and Hungary.

Fed holds interest rates steady at 23-year high
The Federal Reserve decided to hold its benchmark interest rate steady on Wednesday, prolonging an aggressive fight against inflation despite fresh data hours earlier that showed a slight cooldown of price increases.
